About this role
Role Overview
Lead the Contracts and Procurement function company-wide, establishing policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with FAR, DFARS, GSA regulations, and commercial contracting standards.
Serve as the primary advisor to executive leadership on contractual risk, negotiation strategy, pricing structures, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and execute departmental strategy to support corporate growth objectives, including prime contract expansion, GSA Schedule management, subcontracting strategy, and teaming structures.
Oversee Mentor-Protégé and Joint Venture compliance, ensuring SBA and regulatory requirements are met.
Provide executive oversight of all contracts from pre-award through closeout, including proposals, negotiations, award, administration, modifications, REAs, claims, and disputes.
Lead high-risk or high-value negotiations with federal agencies, GSA contracting officers, prime contractors, and commercial clients.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
8+ years of progressive experience in contracts and procurement, with significant federal contracting exposure.
Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, GSA MAS, and subcontracting best practices.
Demonstrated experience supporting or leading interactions with COs/CORs and contract compliance stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead negotiations, manage risk, and drive contract outcomes without slowing delivery.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint (preferred) or comparable government contracting ERP systems.
Strong leadership and executive-level communication skills.
Experience with due diligence, a plus
