Advising on compliance matters associated with Monzo’s Borrowing Collective covering primarily Homeownership (mortgage credit broking)
Partnering directly with Product teams to ensure Consumer Duty requirements are met
Providing clear and accurate technical compliance advice across various FCA areas
Supporting vision and strategy of Conduct and Compliance Advisory
Promoting compliance culture through training and coaching
Requirements
In-depth knowledge of Mortgage Conduct of Business (MCOB) rules
Solid experience advising on regulatory requirements for mortgages broking including mortgage and protection advice.
Strong understanding of Consumer Duty.
CeMAP qualification not essential but could be advantageous.
Hands-on regulatory experience and practical understanding of relevant regulation having ideally spent time in house at a bank, and/or financial technology company advising on regulatory conduct compliance matters.
Strong communicator and keen problem solver who knows how to assess risk and recommend solutions that balance business and risk perspectives.
Working knowledge of the role of the Risk and Compliance function within the 3 lines of defence model.
Self-motivated, highly organised and focused on executing well.
Able to work independently and with changing priorities.
