Lead a workstream or regional portfolio within the Real Estate practice area
Provide practical, timely, and business-forward legal advice
Oversee, draft, negotiate, and resolve complex agreements
Support zoning, entitlement, development, and construction-related legal requirements
Manage matter-level financial responsibilities
Develop and implement legal standards, processes, and playbooks for the Real Estate practice area
Lead and mentor individual-contributor attorneys and legal professionals
Serve as a key legal partner to business leaders
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in the U.S.
10-15 years of legal experience, with substantial experience in real estate transactions, land acquisition, land development, homebuilding, commercial real estate, or construction
Strong experience in drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements and related transaction documents
Ability to provide clear, practical, risk-balanced advice to business leaders and cross-functional teams
Strong negotiation, analytical, judgment, and communication skills
Strong leadership skills with experience managing legal teams and external counsel
Prior experience in a senior in-house legal role or comparable law firm position
