About this role
Role Overview
You analyze economic and regulatory frameworks for grid operators and energy suppliers (e.g., EnWG, ARegV, StromNEV, GasNEV, EEG).
You assess network tariff systems, incentive regulation and investment requirements, and derive market-oriented strategies and actionable recommendations.
You contribute to the development of business models and strategies in the regulated environment (e.g., Redispatch 2.0, network tariff structures, decarbonization strategies).
Requirements
Several years of professional experience in the energy sector, e.g., at municipal utilities, distribution system operators, regulatory authorities or in energy consultancy
Solid knowledge of the electricity market and its regulation: e.g., EnWG, EEG, ARegV, StromNEV, GasNEV, NAV, TAB
Strong understanding of electricity and gas networks from an economic/regulatory perspective (e.g., network tariffs, investment incentives, regulatory regimes)
Experience in analyzing, preparing and presenting complex data and regulatory frameworks (e.g., benchmarking, scenario analyses, impact analyses of regulatory requirements)
Confident in project management (classical and/or agile) as well as moderation and presentation
Experience with GIS systems or network planning software is a plus but not a prerequisite
Experience with integration of renewable energies, storage and decentralized generation is advantageous
You hold a completed Master's degree, e.g., in Energy Economics, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, (Applied) Mathematics or a comparable programme with an energy economics focus
