Represents the company in product demonstrations, training and presentations on all machinery and configurations to customers and potential customers within the confines of the assigned Region.
Creates and presents professional system generated quotations following an in-depth customer needs analysis.
Clearly defines the terms and conditions of the sale and brings any variation to the Business Sales Manager for resolution assistance.
Supervises, trains, develops, and motivates distributor salespeople and internal ZEISS technical resources, facilitating profitable sales growth and increased market share.
Generates timely quotations for customers/potential customers in assigned region.
Processes/Qualifies sales leads.
Makes at least the defined minimum number of face-to-face sales call every week, either with or without distribution.
Keep the ZEISS CRM up to date.
Evaluates sales activities, progress, and results, then if required emplaces appropriate self-generated countermeasures to address shortfalls.
Expertly presents the value of the ZEISS solution using the ZEISS Sales Process as the guideline.
Provides the Business Sales Manager sales/performance reports as requested.
Provides all pertinent information to the order processing and service groups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Supports pre-delivery functions to enable a seamless installation transaction.
Follows up with customers post-delivery to complete all sales and conditions.
Supplies information necessary to maintain accurately forecast sales in the region.
Supervises sales activities of authorized representatives in the assigned territory.
Schedule and coordinate in-house product and technology demonstrations.
Encourages team environment: in the field with other sales personnel, applications team and the overall company.
Interfaces with key groups within the company (Customer Care, Service, Engineering, Management)
Requirements
4-year bachelor’s degree
Technical background is required.
Experience in Sales or Sales Support along with an understanding of capital equipment, manufacturing, and engineering processes.
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
