Process employee lifecycle transactions, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, transfers, and leave events with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Maintain complete and accurate employee records and documentation in HR systems; perform regular audits to ensure data integrity.
Generate recurring and ad-hoc People Operations reports to support business and compliance needs.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries submitted through ServiceDesk or a similar ticketing system.
Respond to and resolve People Operations tickets in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
Triage issues appropriately and escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate People team partners.
Monitor ticket queues during U.S. business hours and ensure adherence to service level expectations.
Provide operational and policy support to U.S. and India employees, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of inquiries.
Partner with U.S.-based teams to resolve cross-border support needs.
Maintain working knowledge of U.S. People Operations processes, timelines, and escalation paths.
Provide backup and support to India payroll partner to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Support benefits enrollment and respond to employee benefits inquiries.
Ensure day-to-day People Operations activities comply with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Identify opportunities to improve People Operations processes, service delivery, and system usage.
Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and process documentation.
Support testing and implementation of HR system enhancements and process changes, including user acceptance testing where applicable.
Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in related field (or four years of equivalent work experience)
Ability and willingness to work the night shift (U.S. daytime hours) on a recurring basis
Experience using a ticketing system such as ServiceDesk and responding to Tier 2 HR/People Operations inquiries
2β4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or HR Support
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies or data issues
Ability to protect confidential information and manage sensitive employee data responsibly
Workday experience (HRIS transactions, reporting, audits) is nice to have
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
Experience partnering with payroll and benefits vendors
Exposure to compliance-related topics (India statutory requirements, audits, data governance)
Proven experience working with US based business teams
Excellent written and communication skills in English language.
