Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and customers.
Respond to RFIs, identify technical gaps, support meetings, and coordinate design changes and clarifications.
Support pre and post-award contract reviews to identify technical requirements, deliverables, and compliance risks.
Ensure all requirements are tracked and planned for timely submittals.
Review product documents, drawings, and reports to become a technical expert and efficiently identify and resolve design, installation, and operational issues.
Develop project-specific Bills of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate technical requirements and approvals with vendors.
Create commissioning and test plans based on contract requirements, support Factory and Field Acceptance Testing (FAT/FIT), and assist with troubleshooting during commissioning.
Track technical issues, prepare weekly technical reports, prepare technical submittals, and create acceptance test reports for customer approval.
Be familiar with industry standards and best practices. Identify product or project non-compliance and safety issues based on project location and design.
Coordinate project network design between internal (Software and Network teams) and external stakeholders. Create network design documentation.
Contribute to developing and updating process by participating in lessons learned reviews, identifying process gaps and suggesting improvements to project engineering workflows.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy storage, power systems, or industrial electrical project engineering.
Knowledge of energy storage systems, including batteries and inverters.
Experience with project engineering processes, including technical document control, vendor coordination, and submittal preparation.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong understanding of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, SCADA systems, and network infrastructure.
Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, UL, NFPA).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed for site assessments, commissioning support, and customer meetings.
