Develop and maintain a multi-year Epic strategy and roadmap aligned to Nemours enterprise priorities and system goals, including purposeful growth of the clinical operation.
Strengthen the Epic governance model to improve cross-functional partnership, communication, transparency, and decision-making authority between operations and IS.
Implement a standard intake and scoring approach (with thresholds and measures of success) to ensure work is prioritized and routed appropriately.
Drive the disciplined evaluation and adoption of Epic capabilities where appropriate to reduce duplicative technology and improve stewardship.
Partner to advance Epic-enabled consumer experience priorities (e.g., MyChart modernization and guided scheduling foundations).
Establish implementation playbooks/standards that improve adoption, support, and sustainment across regions and care settings.
Sponsor and guide workflow optimization that improves usability and reduces burden, leveraging Epic best practices and emerging capabilities.
Define and track key performance indicators (adoption, cycle time, value, experience) and communicate progress/barriers through executive-ready updates.
Lead alignment across clinical operations, revenue cycle, informatics, and IS; facilitate executive-level decisions and resolve conflicts.
Role model Nemours Standards of Behavior and actively support Nemours vision and strategic plan.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) in healthcare, informatics, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Epic/EHR strategy, optimization, and governance.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, communicate insights to varied audiences, and lead change in a matrixed environment.
Strong understanding of healthcare organizational operating models and the complex processes that drive clinical operations, patient care delivery, and enterprise-wide administrative functions.
Systems thinking; structured problem solving; executive presence and communication.
Collaborative leadership across operations/IS; ability to clarify decision rights and drive alignment.
Data-driven orientation with comfort defining measures of success and reporting progress/barriers.
Ability to clearly communicate complex problems and solutions to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including both technical and non-technical and technical audiences.
