Role Overview
- Prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating
- Support individual account pricing, perform portfolio ratemaking analyses, and lead projects of moderate complexity
- Conduct actuarially sound statistical analysis
- Evaluate analytical work done by others and make decisions and recommendations
- Document assumptions and methods in an organized fashion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support
- Follow industry developments and emerging actuarial methods
- Provide mentorship and guidance for junior colleagues
Requirements
- ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) required
- BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 7+ years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
- Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
- Strong analytical and communication skills in a client-facing role
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as: SQL, R, Python, Radar, etc.
