Role Overview
- Serve as an Estimating and Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading a cross-functional team throughout the proposal process
- Work independently with minimal direction and guidance
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statement of Works (SOWs), Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), and other proposal documentation to develop cost estimates that align with customer requirements
- Develop labor estimates using data-driven estimating methodologies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), as well as internal policies and procedures
- Support internal reviews, customer negotiations, audit reviews and other customer meetings
- Present cost estimates and pricing strategies to executive leadership and participate in customer negotiations and other cost discussions
- Develop, mentor and train junior team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5+ years of working major cost estimates for the Department of War or other government entities
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, PowerPoint, & MS Word)
