Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring their best interests are represented, with up to 50% of time spent meeting with clients via Zoom
Create and deliver tailored tax plans to clients, and update those plans periodically
Maintain strong client relationships by managing their expectations, being responsive to their communications/emails, and reaching out proactively
Research complex tax issues, citing the Internal Revenue Code and supporting sources, and provide recommendations for resolution
Coordinate the client’s tax preparation needs with the tax preparation team, and assist with client communication during tax season to ensure proposed strategies are implemented
Remain updated on changes in tax laws and procedures
Requirements
CPA or EA Certification (CPA Preferred)
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Tax from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5-7 years of real estate and small business tax compliance and/or planning experience
Experience working directly with clients, managing client relationships, and ensuring engagement objectives are met accurately and on time
Experience performing tax projections and estimates using professional tax planning software (e.g., BNA Tax Planner, CCH Prosystem fx Planning, etc.)
Effective written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred: Experience with partnership syndications, including knowledge of waterfall allocations and operating agreements.
