Handle Asia & EU shifts to support Unix L2 support.
Handle Hardware Breakfix with the coordination with RedHat & Cisco/HP
Prepare and implement scheduled system changes during off-hours/weekends
Handle user requests related to Unix Platform
Manage prod issues, attend call with the app & infra teams
Weekend & On-call support to manage prod changes & incidents.
Escalate and liaise with vendors/engineering for troubleshooting issues
Collaborate with regional peers for change planning & implementation
Handle production outages/incidents in line with ITIL practices
Requirements
Overall experience of 3-8 years working on L2 Support for RHEL 7/8/9 OS Administration
Good working experience & hands-on knowledge of Linux
Experience with VMware vSphere and Hyper-V virtualization (2-3 years)
Basic storage & VM datastore knowledge (SAN, NAS, iSCSI)
RedHat Cluster experience
Working experience with large-scale server environments
Troubleshoot and resolve OS & server level issues.
Basic knowledge of Ansible playbook
Basic understanding for automating regular tasks by using Ansible, scripting shell / Python
Experience on Cisco & HP servers is an added advantage
Japanese language knowledge will be an advantage
Excellent English written, verbal, and presentation skills.
