About this role

Create and revise design drawings of high voltage transmission and distribution substations including: Site plans, Foundation plans and details, Structural Steel plans and fabrication details
Peer review of other’s drawings
Maintain drawing files – archived, current and working revisions
Update drawings to field as-built conditions
Teach and mentor young designers and/or new employees on civil/structural design and company practices
Participate in the development and review of company standards and design tools to optimize design applications
Provide project support/office support as required.

5+ Years’ Experience in Design of Transmission Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV)
Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required
Good written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work well with others in a team setting
Skilled in problem solving in time-sensitive situations
Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD (2015 or later) – Advanced, required
Advanced/Intermediate experience in MicroStation – preferred
Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
