Prepare and review a variety of tax-related documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines and regulations
Oversee timely daily, monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting
Ensure accuracy by reviewing and validating requests, filings, and reports and ensuring compliance with guidelines and internal controls
Lead tax reconciliations through collaboration with necessary teams to ensure accurate data is captured across related systems and workbooks
Collaborate with business areas to ensure data integrity
Research and interpret existing and revised tax codes, laws, or forms to make recommendations to procedures
Assist with responses to federal and state regulatory inquiries and audits
Oversee management of the key processes and projects within the department
Identify operational efficiencies automation opportunities to drive continuous process improvement, leveraging knowledge and experience to provide solutions
Partner with key stakeholders as needed to ensure quality transaction analysis, data integrity, and operating procedures
Comply with company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related area
5 + years of relevant experience
Experience working in a regulated environment
Experience in the financial services/insurance industry
Relevant professional certification (CPA, CFA, CIA, CISA)
Combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
