About this role
Role Overview
Process accounts payable invoices, match with purchase orders, and obtain approvals as required.
Prepare and process weekly cheque runs and electronic payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain organized and up-to-date AP files and records.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve AP issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in the AP process.
Reconcile inventory to physical counts and investigate discrepancies.
Participate in inventory counts.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, prepayment and accruals schedules.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including inventory valuation and adjustments.
Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation when required.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in a full-cycle accounts payable role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
