Design complex FPGA-based applications as well as related areas of electronics and hardware development
Oversee the entire system: from the hardware description (HDL) and embedded software to integration into electronic assemblies and control units
Develop applications both as bare‑metal implementations and using embedded operating systems (e.g., PetaLinux)
Write embedded software and the corresponding drivers for your hardware functions
Implement and test your solutions in product and hardware development
Evaluate technical parameters such as timing, signal behavior, resource usage, real‑time performance and system stability
Expand your expertise both within the FPGA domain and in related hardware areas (e.g., digital circuit design, PCB design & layout, hardware verification & testing, ECU development)
Work in interdisciplinary project teams across hardware, software and systems engineering and support our projects through all project phases
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems or a comparable field
Strong experience in FPGA development and/or hardware development, with openness to adjacent hardware areas (e.g., ASIC/SoC, digital circuit design, hardware verification & testing)
Knowledge of HDL development, PetaLinux, AXI bus architecture, PS/PL interfacing and clocking strategies
Experience with Vivado, Vitis or comparable toolchains
Ideally practical experience in circuit design, PCB layout testing and hardware verification
Desirable: experience with tools such as Altium Designer or ZUKEN CR-8000
Business-fluent German and fluent English
