Oversee the daily financial and human resources functions for our Mexican entity.
Ensure full compliance with local labor and tax laws while maintaining seamless office operations.
Record all financial transactions in the Odoo ERP system, ensuring proper documentation and supporting schedules.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliation, expense monitoring, and petty cash handling.
Monitor and manage daily cash flow, oversee bank account activities, and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs, including payroll and vendor payments.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
Liaise with external tax advisors to prepare and file Mexican tax declarations.
Manage and process the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Handle the full onboarding, offboarding, and termination processes.
Maintain up-to-date employee files, health insurance records, and time-off requests via the ERP system.
Ensure strict adherence to Mexican labor laws, social security (IMSS), and immigration processes for expatriates.
Act as the primary point of contact for banks, vendors, tax authorities, and governmental entities.
Lead office initiatives as part of the "Fun Committee" to boost morale and office involvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA) or HR-specific certifications are a significant plus.
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, ideally with a background that covers both general ledger accounting and HR administration.
Good knowledge of Mexican GAAP and local Tax Laws.
Deep understanding of Mexican Labor Law and social security regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel) and experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred).
Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
High level of autonomy, proactiveness, and reliability.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data with absolute discretion.
