Lead the creative direction and content strategy for Wand's organic content across Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube long-form
Make strategic decisions on game selection, trending topics, and content themes that maximize reach and engagement
Define and evolve Wand's content voice, editing style, hook strategies, and visual identity across both short-form and long-form formats
Develop content frameworks for how Wand's product features (game assists, interactive maps, video clipping, contextual guidance) are integrated naturally into content
Own YouTube long-form strategy including video concepts, thumbnails, titles, audience retention optimization, and SEO
Analyze content performance data to identify what's working and continuously refine creative direction
Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and competitor content to keep Wand's content at the cutting edge
Manage a team of 14 including content ideators, scriptwriters, gameplay capturers, and video editors
Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and quality standards to the team on a daily basis
Run the day-to-day content production workflow
assigning tasks, reviewing output, managing deadlines, and ensuring consistent publishing cadence across all channels
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in existing workflows and implement improvements to increase output quality and speed
Conduct regular content reviews and provide actionable feedback to elevate team performance
Foster a collaborative team culture focused on creative excellence and continuous improvement
Own key performance metrics across all channels including views, engagement rate, follower growth, audience retention, and watch time
Develop and maintain a content calendar that balances trending topics, evergreen content, and product showcases across short-form and long-form
Conduct competitive analysis of gaming content creators and brands to identify opportunities
Report on content performance and strategic recommendations to leadership
Collaborate with other Global Operations teams (Maps, Testing, Support) to align content with company-wide initiatives
Requirements
Proven experience in social media content strategy with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and scale content output
Track record of growing social media channels through organic content, with specific metrics to demonstrate impact
Deep understanding of short-form video platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) including algorithms, trends, and best practices
Experience with YouTube long-form content strategy including thumbnails, titles, audience retention, and channel growth
Strong background in gaming — you play games, follow gaming culture, and understand what resonates with gaming audiences
Experience managing a content production team (editors, creators, or similar roles) with the ability to give clear, constructive creative feedback
Sharp editorial eye for what makes content perform — hooks, pacing, editing style, thumbnails, captions, and calls to action
Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform content decisions
Excellent project management skills with the ability to keep a multi-person production pipeline running smoothly
Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with other teams.
