About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for supervising employees and coordinating applicable business processes necessary to satisfy reporting duties of the Load Settlement Group including the ISO-NE wholesale electricity markets, regulatory and legislative orders, and ad-hoc initiatives on behalf of all Eversource electric companies.
Ensure timely and accurate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ISO-NE and other key stakeholders concerning load, tie line, and generation assets.
Provide accurate metering and billing data to ISO-NE, suppliers, and other parties both internal and external to Eversource.
Operate or oversee the Load Settlement System including updating of the model to incorporate new suppliers, generators and changes in electric system configuration and operation.
Assist in the development and maintenance of a capable and motivated workforce.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, legislation, and regulatory activity pertinent to the business area.
Support the planning, testing and implementation of software requirements necessary to satisfy/maintain LS Planning activities.
Work with management and LS Supervisors to plan, evaluate, determine requirements and implement work initiatives for current and future regulatory or legislative initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics/Finance, Engineering, other data intensive field or equivalent experience
Eight (8) plus years of related experience
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Leads by example and promotes a positive and helpful work atmosphere
Ability and willingness to initiate, promote and manage change as needed
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and the ability to draw sound conclusions and act decisively
Efficient and effective decision making and problem-solving abilities
Ability to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities, without losing attention to detail
Strong and positive interaction skills; clear oral and written communication skills
Strong customer focus
Strong functional understanding of computerized business systems
Ability to interpret and relate complex information in a user-friendly manner
Ability to work effectively with various levels within the organization, and with other departments/companies that LS interacts with routinely (Billing, Meter Systems and Data Management, IT Support, Suppliers, Generators, etc.)
Initiative and personal ownership
Experience in Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
