Finance Manager – Controlling

Role Overview

• Monitoring the financial overview (P&L, cash, open items/outstanding receivables and payables)
• Cash flow management, revenue and cost control, preparation of budgeting and forecast cycles
• Optimization of controlling (KPIs, plan vs. actual, unit economics)
• Maintenance of dashboards and reporting structures (e.g., Google Sheets / BI tools)
• Optimization of internal processes (interfaces, responsibilities, SLAs)

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in finance/controlling (startup, consulting, corporate or scale-up)
• Alternatively: very strong practical experience (e.g., relevant internships/student assistant roles) plus a high learning curve
• You work independently, prioritize clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders (founders, sales, partners)
• Strong numerical understanding and analytical skills – you think in KPIs, cash and consequences
• Structured and process-oriented thinking: you build systems that work even during rapid growth
• Hands-on mentality: you implement solutions rather than just writing concepts
• Confident use of tools (Google Sheets/Excel; BI/reporting tools are a plus)
• Quick comprehension – also when dealing with complex rule sets and contract logic
