About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for the successful execution of our photovoltaic (PV) projects
Planning and design, including on-site technical feasibility analyses
Preparation of detailed system plans including electrical wiring and cable sizing
Registration of the installation with grid operators and other relevant authorities
Project control and coordination
Liaison with certification bodies and project-specific engineering firms
Plan and procure major electrical components in accordance with DIN standards
Sizing and design of large-scale battery storage solutions
Electrotechnical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Documentation and final acceptance/commissioning
Ensure compliance with all standards, regulations and fire protection requirements
Interface to customers, suppliers, authorities, trades and internal teams during the construction phase
Preparation of all relevant documentation: test and measurement protocols, commissioning reports, final documentation
Coordination of grid connection with the responsible grid operator
Requirements
Degree or vocational training in electrical engineering, energy engineering, or renewable energies; alternatively, equivalent relevant professional experience
Experience in photovoltaic technology
Understanding of grid connection concepts and feed-in management
Confident working knowledge of VDE standards, EEG (Renewable Energy Sources Act), EnWG (Energy Industry Act) and, where applicable, building regulations
Project management skills
Coordination of external trades (roofers, electricians, structural engineers, etc.)
Experience with tendering, bid comparisons and schedule monitoring
Familiarity with digital tools, ERP systems and CRM tools (e.g., STEPS, Salesforce, S-Plan or Excel)
Clear communication with customers, authorities and partners
Strong organizational skills and an independent working style
Problem-solving ability and an entrepreneurial mindset
Resilience in handling multiple concurrent projects
Commercial/financial awareness
Desirable: knowledge of major electrotechnical components (handover stations, transformer stations, park control, and remote monitoring/control/SCADA) and control engineering
Planning and management of technical projects (time, budget, resources)
Experience with PV design software such as PV*Sol or comparable planning tools
