About this role
Role Overview
Support Admissions and Records Assistant III in managing front desk operations
Respond to inquiries regarding enrollment and educational records
Provide guidance on Registrar-related processes via phone, email, and in-person
Handle and protect confidential student and employee information
Perform accurate data entry and clerical tasks to support office operations
Maintain and update student records within the Registrar’s system
Manage and process transcript requests
Assist in planning and executing Commencement ceremonies
Provide support to student employees
Develop the ability to assess student needs and direct them to relevant departments
Support additional Registrar’s Office functions and projects as assigned
Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk in a high-traffic environment
Requirements
Graduation from high school or equivalent education
Two years of clerical and administrative support experience
Experience in maintaining records and files
Experience in preparing materials using a personal computer or word processor
Experience assisting customers in completing forms and applications
Experience performing secretarial duties in support of professional staff
OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working in a community college or student services environment (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse and multicultural student population and/or workforce (preferred)
Proficiency in using student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Banner, or similar platforms) (preferred)
Bilingual, with the ability to communicate effectively in more than one language (Spanish preferred) (preferred)
