Play a key role in supporting the Sales Representatives, Account Managers, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and to help drive sales initiatives.
Handle a mix of administrative, marketing, and customer service responsibilities while assisting with Salesforce, Pardot, and other system-related tasks.
Serve as the primary point of contact for smaller accounts, managing customer inquiries and fostering long-term relationships that contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
Generate quotes, access codes, and prepare other necessary documentation to assist the sales team and customers.
Maintain and update Salesforce records, generate reports, and track sales activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in collaboration with Sales Representatives and Account Managers.
Collaborate with the sales manager and individual sales reps on special projects and monitor ongoing sales benchmarks.
Conduct account, industry, and regional research to support business development and sales strategies.
Manage a portfolio of small accounts, proactively address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Coordinate mass outbound communications, including emails, newsletters, and marketing campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
Oversee review and pilot program order processing, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
Act as a liaison between the sales team and other internal departments to facilitate smooth communication and project alignment.
Organize and maintain marketing and sales collateral to ensure the sales team has the necessary resources for success.
Provide administrative support to the sales staff, including research, data entry, lead generation, and project coordination.
Assist with travel arrangements, conference planning, event coordination, and customer support at events.
Track and report on team-related activities and project statuses to maintain transparency and accountability.
Build and maintain positive relationships with assigned small accounts to encourage long-term partnerships and customer loyalty.
Travel as needed (estimated 20-50%) for conferences, training, and customer visits.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience supporting sales functions or sales professionals.
Experience with sales tracking and reporting within a CRM management tool (Salesforce preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Pardot experience is a plus).
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with customers.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region, including overnight trips and air travel as needed.
Experience or familiarity with the educational K-12 market is strongly preferred.
Teaching experience — especially in world languages — is highly desirable.
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages is a strong plus but not required: Spanish, French, German, Italian.
