Research and identify media outlets, platforms, and channels to help reach target audiences.
Assist the public relations team with planning, executing, and reporting on strategic communications projects.
Support the development of media pitches and media lists to advance WWP’s media relations efforts; pitch media under supervision.
Create content — such as articles, fact sheets, and talking points — about WWP programs and services for distribution through external and internal channels.
Assist the public relations team in tracking and reporting WWP earned media coverage; contribute to regular and ad-hoc reports for department leadership.
Prepare agendas, presentations, and other materials for meetings as needed.
Support WWP teams in public awareness activities for special events, fundraisers, and key initiatives.
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Coursework or hands-on experience in writing, editing, or media/communications projects.
Participation in team-based and/or project-based assignments demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively.
Experience using Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
