Build driver-based financial models and scenario analyses that support annual planning, forecasting, and long-range strategic decision making
Own and maintain Muck Rack’s financial planning infrastructure in Pigment, ensuring models are reliable, well-documented, and connected to accurate source data
Serve as the primary finance partner for non-headcount expense management across the company, helping business leaders track spend against plan and proactively identify risks and opportunities
Analyze performance across key business functions and prepare executive-ready insights to support monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews
Improve and automate KPI reporting using tools such as Equals, Google Sheets, and Looker to reduce manual work and increase leadership visibility into business performance
Collaborate cross-functionally with the GTM, Engineering, Analytics and Finance teams to define metrics, build business cases, and evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives
Perform ad hoc analysis to support company growth and efficiency initiatives using internal data sources and external benchmarks
Continuously improve finance tooling and workflows by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and leverage new technologies
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related finance role
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
Experience managing budgeting or expense tracking for business functions or departments
Hands-on experience with financial planning platforms such as Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or similar tools
Experience working in SaaS, technology, or other high-growth business environments
Strong understanding of SaaS and GTM metrics such as ARR, NRR, bookings vs. revenue, churn, and funnel conversion
Experience working with operational data sources such as Salesforce, Looker, or NetSuite; SQL familiarity is a plus
Ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear narratives for executives and cross-functional stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting financial insights to leadership
Curiosity, ownership mentality, and a willingness to dig into data to uncover the “why” behind performance
Comfort operating in ambiguity and improving processes in evolving environments
Interest in leveraging technology and automation to improve financial workflows and reporting
Proactively incorporate AI tools into day to day work to improve productively and accelerate delivery
