Communicate essential criminal justice information to victims
Distribute mail
Work with a team to support crime victims
Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with co-workers, advocates, prosecutors, leadership and crime victims using principles of good customer service.
Prepare cases for assignment, review and generate corresponding case-related documents
Retrieve and distribute database reminders
Review and interpret court documents such as minute entries/court orders
Generate notifications as required by Victims’ Rights statutes
Handle division incoming calls, using multi-line telephone
answering general questions, routing calls and taking detailed messages and returning calls.
Coverage of main reception desk
Perform statistical data collection and tracking of information
Organize and prioritize tasks effectively
Enter and retrieve case information from various databases
Research case related information by reviewing police reports, case forms and court documents
Respond to victim inquiries in coordination with Victim Services staff
Prepare, process and upload Post-Conviction forms into the database
Process and document Victim Information Forms
Assist with redaction
Operate letter folding machine
Assemble packets to be mailed
Assist with reviewing and distribution of incoming mail
Process Victim Compensation Delinquency for claims and applications
Enter applications in a specialized data system and create/assign Victim Compensation cases
Attend and set up for monthly Victim Compensation Board meetings and record decisions
Maintain compliance with the Victim Compensation Program rules
Prepare Victim Compensation Board minutes and updates/posts Public Notice
Comply with grant requirements and meet programmatic deadlines
Work in the presence of or with a trained canine that comforts victims
Requirements
One year of experience performing specialized clerical duties
High school diploma or GED
Post-secondary education may substitute for the minimum experience on a year-for-year basis
Valid Arizona driver’s license upon hire
Clerical experience in a law office, judicial, or law enforcement environment
Customer service experience in a law office, judicial, or law enforcement environment
The ability to read/write/speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
