Define and continuously refine a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to CHS objectives, customer needs, and measurable outcomes
Partner with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather insights, validate needs, and ensure the product delivers meaningful business value
Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring work is clearly defined, actionable, and focused on the highest customer and business value
Lead creation of epics and features and partner with business analysts and team members to decompose work into right-sized user stories with clear acceptance criteria
Establish quality expectations by ensuring stories align to acceptance standards and Definition of Done
Mentor team members in product ownership practices, prioritization, and agile ways of working to strengthen team effectiveness
Translate emerging risks, audit findings, and compliance needs into backlog priorities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and/or training)
4+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Technology Consulting and Support
3+ years of experience in a product owner or equivalent role working with both business and IT employees/stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
Demonstrated ability to define product direction, manage priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes
Experience working in agile product delivery environments with backlog management tools
Experience with customer discovery, persona development, roadmap planning, and outcome-based measurement
Familiarity with release planning, product metrics, and continuous improvement practices
Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced knowledge of software development procedures including scrum methodology
Advanced proficiency in agile delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or GitHub) and data driven dashboards
