The Assistant Security Manager supports the overall leadership and daily operations of the Security Department at WarHorse Gaming Omaha.
This role is responsible for supervising Security team members, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, and protecting company assets.
This position serves as a developmental leadership role, preparing the incumbent to transition into a Security Manager position by gaining hands-on experience in departmental planning, compliance, and operational oversight.
Oversees daily security operations to ensure safety, security, and compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
Supervises, assigns, and directs Security Officers based on operational needs, skills, and experience.
Monitors team performance, provides coaching, and addresses performance concerns to maintain high standards.
Assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating security programs and departmental initiatives.
Leads and supports investigations, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Conducts routine patrols to identify and mitigate potential risks or safety concerns.
Maintains security systems, including key control and access procedures.
Prepares detailed incident, investigation, and activity reports in a timely manner.
Assists with recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplinary actions within the department.
Supports performance management processes, including evaluations and development planning.
Collaborates with leadership on strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Acts as a professional representative of the property when interacting with guests, team members, and external partners.
Coordinates with law enforcement and regulatory agencies when necessary.
Requirements
Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
Minimum of five (5) years of casino security experience required
At least three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience required
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems
Previous casino or resort experience preferred.
