Role Overview
- Manages individual contributors typically up through the Sr. Actuary level
- Provides input for goals and objectives to support functional success
- Manages the production of the department to accomplish goals
- Oversee and/or execute various actuarial techniques
- Conduct research into laws and regulations
- Analyzes sales, expense, persistency and mortality/morbidity experience
- Prepares and presents analysis and recommendations to Senior Management
- Hire, train, and develop departmental staff
- Responsible for performance reviews and other supervisory related tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or math/statistics required
- 9-11 years of experience
- expertise in MG-ALFA is a must have
- experience in GGY Axis is a good to have
- conceptual knowledge of actuarial area
- research and design solutions for complex actuarial issues
- advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Access and VBA
- experience with pricing/ALM software such as MG ALFA or GGY AXIS required
- fluent in English
