Role Overview
- Manage a team of high-performing analysts within the Policy Expectations and Surveys team
- Actively support and develop the team and talent consistent with the Bank's mission
- Provide strategic direction, oversight and expertise to the design, execution, analysis, and reporting of the Survey of Market Expectations
- Engage with senior stakeholders in the Markets Group
- Lead the systematic tracking of U.S. monetary policy expectations through market commentary, outreach, and external surveys
- Provide thought leadership and interest rates market expertise
- Build and maintain relationships with external market participants
- Oversee the development and implementation of models to extract measures of monetary policy expectations
- Foster effective risk management with respect to the policy surveys
- Lead strategic initiatives on the staff
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and lead complex projects
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively convey complex ideas in a concise and insightful manner
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong survey and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with advanced quantitative analytical packages
- Risk management and process oversight experience
- Effective interpersonal, coordination, and diplomatic skills
- Strong self-management skills
- Prior staff management experience preferred
- Familiarity with U.S. monetary policy expectations preferred
