Lead the development and execution of a scalable data governance strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements
Define and enforce enterprise-wide data quality standards and ensure consistent implementation across business units
Oversee the creation and maintenance of data governance artifacts including policies, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and metadata repositories
Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to develop and manage data classification, access controls, and lifecycle policies
Drive the implementation and adoption of data governance platforms and tools to support governance workflows and automation
Facilitate data quality issue resolution through root cause analysis, remediation planning, and ongoing monitoring
Support operational teams by providing guidance on data standards and assisting in the resolution of data quality gaps
Track, report, and communicate data governance metrics, risks, and progress to executive stakeholders
Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices, continuously evolving the governance program to meet emerging needs
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in data governance, information management, business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
7+ years of experience in data analytics, data quality, or enterprise information management
Demonstrated experience with data governance frameworks, data stewardship models, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
Proficient with governance tools and technologies, such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or equivalent platforms
Experience implementing and maintaining data quality measurement frameworks and KPIs
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
