Lead the operations of the Accounting Department across revenue, billing, inventory, financial reporting, payroll, audit, tax and statutory compliance filings
Drive excellence in the monthly close and consolidations processes across multiple entities globally while ensuring that the reported results comply with accounting standards and policies and procedures are followed timely and efficiently
Play a key role in our ERP administration and evolution, developing a strategic view of how systems, processes and data enable efficiency in accounting operations and result in improved decision making
Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements across Canada and the US, and oversee third party accounting and tax filings globally
Maintain and document company’s accounting policies and procedures
Implement strong governance and internal controls
Manage cash and banking processes while building cash forecasting capability and instilling metrics driven approach to working capital management
Develop, hire and retain the accounting talent
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required, Canadian CPA experience a must
10+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
Big 4 experience preferred, 5+ years management experience
Experience with SOX compliance or implementing internal controls frameworks
Advanced knowledge of Epicor (preferred), NetSuite or similar ERP, and familiarity with leading accounting technology solutions
