Role Overview
- Provide on‑site and program‑level oversight of construction activities across the program’s seaport projects.
- Ensure that construction is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design documents, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee construction activities for dredging, structural repairs, bulkhead replacements, terminal improvements, and other marine works.
- Monitor contractor performance, schedule adherence, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Review submittals, RFIs, change order proposals, and progress reports.
- Support field inspections, testing, and verification of installed work.
- Coordinate with VIPA Engineering Division, consultants, and contractors to resolve field issues.
- Assist in validating construction phasing, logistics, and operational impacts.
- Support compliance with funding agency requirements and contract administration.
Requirements
- 10+ years of construction management experience in marine, port, or heavy civil environments.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, dredging operations, and structural rehabilitation.
- Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and night shifts as required by project conditions.
- Engineering Degree, Structural, Civil, Marine Engineering
- Civil Construction experience
- Knowledge of PMIS system Kahua
- Strong Client Management skills
- Ability to drive process
