About this role
Role Overview
- Responsible for scalable end-to-end IoT architectures across edge, gateway and cloud
- Independently design the system architecture
- Design robust, secure, and highly available IoT communication solutions based on technical requirements
- Define and integrate protocols, interfaces, and data models with consideration for scalability, performance, and security-by-design
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on development for embedded, edge, and backend components, including code reviews and coaching
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain comprehensive architecture, system, and security documentation
Requirements
- Experience in system architecture
- Development experience with IoT or distributed systems
- Experience with IoT communication architectures
- Experience with distributed, resource-constrained systems (embedded / edge)
- Knowledge of network technologies and wireless communication
- Experience with cloud and IoT platforms (which platforms have you worked with?)
- Nice-to-have: IoT radio technologies
- Nice-to-have: device management, OTA updates, and lifecycle management
- Nice-to-have: IoT security
- German language skills
