Role Overview
- Planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department
- Complying with NASW Code of Ethics and local, state, and federal regulations
- Fostering a climate that enables residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity
- Identifying psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs and providing services to meet those needs
Requirements
- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field required
- Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population required
- Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
