Character Kits : Collaborate with artists and animators to design diverse rosters of cyberpunk warriors, mercenaries, and AI constructs—defining their playstyle, move sets, and visual identity.
F2P Economy & Meta : Architect the free-to-play economy, including gacha systems for character acquisition, battle passes, seasonal events, and resource loops that feel rewarding without being exploitative.
Progression Systems : Design the meta-game (gear, implants, skill trees) that allow players to customize their fighters while ensuring competitive balance remains intact.
Live Ops : Create engaging live ops calendars, including seasonal PvP ladders, boss raids, and themed events that align with the cyberpunk universe.
Tuning & Balance : Utilize data analytics and player feedback to continuously tune character performance, ensuring a healthy and diverse competitive meta.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of game design experience, with at least one shipped title in the F2P mobile space.
Genre Expertise: Deep understanding of fighting games (e.g., Street Fighter, Tekken, Guilty Gear, Mortal Kombat) including terminology like neutral game, mix-ups, and frame advantage.
Monetization Knowledge : Strong understanding of F2P mechanics, including gacha systems, retention loops (dailies/weeklies), and soft currency economies.
Technical Skills : Proficiency with design tools (Excel, Google Sheets) for complex balancing.
Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus.
Analytical : Comfortable using data dashboards (SQL, Tableau, etc.) to make informed balancing decisions.
AI tools: familiarity with popular AI tools for game designers.
