Drive and advance a unified, enterprise-wide interoperability strategy across all Aetna business lines
Synthesize and govern enterprise interoperability and platform roadmaps, identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities for convergence
Serve as the executive convener aligning senior leaders across technology, product, operations, quality, revenue integrity, and lines of business
Advise enterprise leadership on the intersection of interoperability standards, policy, technology, and business strategy
Represent Aetna’s interoperability strategy across the CVS Health enterprise and externally with providers, vendors, and industry bodies
Guide long-term planning while ensuring near-term regulatory and operational commitments are met
Influence capital allocation, investment prioritization, and portfolio optimization related to interoperability initiatives
Champion executive-level storytelling, translating complex strategies into clear, decision-oriented narratives
Support and lead governance processes to ensure strategy is executed, measured, and value is realized
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Requirements
12–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in U.S. healthcare technology or interoperability
Demonstrated executive accountability for enterprise-scale strategy and transformation
Deep expertise in interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, X12, and NCPDP
Proven ability to lead through influence in large, matrixed organizations
Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong business and financial acumen, including portfolio and investment decision-making
Deep understanding of payer and provider workflows and regulatory requirements
Ability to balance long-term vision with pragmatic execution
