Prepare and lead variance analysis and analyze trends
Lead executive-level focused discussions by leveraging data to drive business insights and identify risks/opportunities
Proactively lead analysis, reporting, and technical support to finance, sales, operations, IT, and senior management
Build and maintain an effective relationship as lead, strategic FP&A partner for designated business unit(s)
Develop and provide detailed analysis and commentary on the performance of a business unit and/or department. Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost-saving initiatives.
Update data sets as instructed and communicate findings at the senior level.
Proactively manage analysis and reporting to operating support functions and/or departments.
Build and maintain an effective relationship as a strategic FP&A partner for supporting business units and/or departments.
Understanding key business drivers and metrics.
Update assumptions and maintain/enhance financial and operating models.
Consolidate, research and analyze financial data and report findings.
Complete assigned components of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process; work with FP&A leaders to address review comments and questions.
Analyze small, simple data sets and information to identify business trends and identify strategic business opportunities.
Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional teams and management.
Maintain a quality partnership by being responsive and ensuring thorough communication.
Protect the organization's value by keeping financial information confidential.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years’ experience in finance and/or accounting.
Ability to take the lead on team projects and initiatives.
Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Capable of driving results with a focused, pragmatic approach.
Ability to engage and partner with departmental team leads.
Experience in budgeting, data analysis, and forecasting required.
Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Emphasis on quality control of small data sets, accuracy of data, and timeliness of deliverables.
Ability to take raw small-to-medium-sized data sets to identify patterns and trends.
Ability to collect, monitor, analyze, and report on small data sets to support business decisions.
Detail-oriented and with an analytical mindset.
Ability to prioritize and estimate delivery timelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Outlook) required.
