Direct and coordinate strategic marketing activities to achieve operating plans for the business
Lead cross-functional work with Commercial, Product, Brand, Supply Chain and Finance teams to develop strategic growth initiatives, including product, online merchandising, and promotion strategies
Present new products, merchandising, and promotional strategies and successfully execute market communication plans and new product launches
Review brand and merchandising messaging and tactics to make sure they comply with overall channel strategy and make recommendations on improvements for a better customer experience
Analyze and track POS, inventory, market share, and competitive landscapes; track program/promotional effectiveness and develop and execute changes and improvements, as required
Work closely with the Sales and Finance teams to manage listings, maximizing sales and profitability via mix management, promotional opportunities, and pricing actions
Independently makes sound business decisions to drive top and bottom lines, driven by a holistic understanding of the channel P&L
Provide regular guidance to less experienced team members and lead high-impact activities and projects across the broader channel team
Requirements
A minimum of eight plus (8+) years of Product, Sales and/or Marketing experience within the Retail space
Solid analytical skills with strong understanding of key business and financial metrics such as Sales, Gross Margins, Operating Margins, Inventory Turns, etc.
Customer-focused, can-do mindset with a passion for problem-solving and commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
Project management, collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated success communicating effectively with all levels of the business
Experience navigating a complex organization and changing priorities and while exercising attention to detail; ability to manage deadlines and focus on high-impact work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP Systems (SAP, BW, Salesforce, etc.)
