Role Overview
- Responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including production, quality control, maintenance, receiving, and shipping
- Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
- Develop relationships with and provide service to existing customers to promote customer retention and loyalty
- Interact with customers to determine better service needs and implement changes accordingly
- Manage key performance indicators relative to sales growth, collections, productivity, inventory control, and profit margins
- Establish accurate budget projections and work within the designated budget
- Oversee product quality control and implement efficient changes as necessary
- Manage aspects of human resources for all departments by hiring, terminating, and reassigning personnel as required
- Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience related to production, operations, and/or distribution
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
- Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations
