Serve as Vendor Relationship Owner (VRO) for assigned technology vendors, including strategic software publishers and outsourced delivery partners.
Manage outsourced and managed service vendor contracts across the full lifecycle, including SOW development, execution, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
Act as the primary operational owner for outsourced vendor engagements, ensuring contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, SLAs, and acceptance criteria are defined, tracked, and enforced.
Lead technology software and services renewals, including review of pricing, scope, and commercial risk.
Coordinate vendor performance reviews and proactively identify, escalate, and remediate delivery, financial, or compliance risks.
Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance/AP, and business stakeholders to ensure contracts and purchase orders align with approved scope and commercial terms.
Support change management for vendor engagements, including scope changes, pricing adjustments, extensions, and transitions.
Ensure vendor engagements comply with enterprise requirements for security, data protection, audit readiness, and regulatory obligations.
Support governance forums, legal checkpoints, and executive escalations related to vendor management.
Requirements
Four year degree in IT, business or equivalent experience
8–10 years of related experience managing technology vendors, including outsourced service providers and managed services.
Strong understanding of software licensing, maintenance, professional services, and managed services contracts.
Proven experience working with Procurement, Legal, Finance/AP, and cross-functional IT stakeholders.
Ability to interpret MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and commercial terms and identify contractual or operational risk.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple vendor engagements concurrently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
