Role Overview
- supports the revenue cycle and clinical departments in providing charge capture analysis and workflow optimization in professional billing
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Health Information Management, Business, or related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in healthcare professional billing
- Moderate / advanced understanding of CPT coding and third-party billing requirements
- 1+ year of revenue cycle experience
- Knowledge and experience with Medicare/Medicaid regulations
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
- High level of precision and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Healthcare coding or billing professional certification (Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Revenue Integrity Specialist (CRIS), Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS), etc.), or RHIA, RHIT, or RN credential
- EPIC experience (Resolute Charge Capture)
