Completes projects and performs complex actuarial studies
Performs key actuarial functions related to cost of care
Understands the impact of provider and government regulation changes
Designs and completes special projects such as understanding changes in cost and utilization at a claim level
Educates and makes recommendations on changes in expense and utilization that impacts profitability of the business
Develops, maintains and analyzes reporting to support special projects and share findings regularly with market and project leadership.

Requires a BA/BS degree
Passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams
Minimum of 1 year related experience
Technical background in SQL, Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation and statistical analysis
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and actuarial software tools
Experience working with large administrative claims datasets and healthcare cost/utilization metrics
Ability to apply actuarial judgment and statistical techniques to interpret and explain complex trends.
