Oversees the daily pharmacy operations including interpreting physicians’ prescriptions and compounds
Dispensing medications within regulatory guidelines
Consulting with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions
Handling complex problem resolution
Responsible for managing day-to-day pharmacy operations
Verifies prescribed medications are safe and appropriate according to professional standards, facility procedures, and state and federal legal requirements
Assists with fiscal management of the Pharmacy to optimize profits and control expenses
Ensures and behaves with a focus on excellent customer service and clinical care
Serves as designated Pharmacist-in-Charge to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
Requirements
Normally requires two (2) to four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience in a retail/outpatient pharmacy practice
A Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
Unrestricted, current state license as a Registered Pharmacist in resident state is required
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints
