Serve as the business steward and point of accountability for critical data elements across the Securities & Markets domain (e.g., instruments, trades, positions, counterparties, pricing, valuations, exposures, lifecycle events)
Define and maintain clear business definitions, usage standards, and ownership for Securities & Markets data
Ensure data accurately reflects the true business intent, product structures, and operating realities of Securities & Markets activities
Identify where process gaps, manual workarounds, or inconsistent practices contribute to data quality or control issues
Partner with front office, operations, risk, and control teams to improve upstream processes that generate or modify Securities & Markets data
Help prioritize and resolve data issues that impact reporting, client experience, risk management, financial control, or regulatory obligations
Translate complex business processes and requirements into clear, actionable guidance for downstream consumers of Securities & Markets data
Represent the Securities & Markets business in data governance forums, working groups, and control discussions
Oversee and support data quality monitoring, root‑cause analysis, and issue remediation efforts
Improve transparency, trust, and confidence in how Securities & Markets data is sourced, defined, governed, and used across the organization
Provide people leadership, including setting direction, managing priorities, developing talent, and fostering strong partnerships across teams
Requirements
7+ years of experience (highly preferred) in Securities & Markets, such as trading, sales, middle office, operations, product control, risk management, or markets‑related control functions
Strong, hands‑on understanding of the end‑to‑end Securities & Markets lifecycle, including trade capture, lifecycle events, valuations, settlement, and reporting
Ability to explain complex markets concepts clearly to both business and non‑business audiences
Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and drive change across front‑to‑back stakeholders
Excellent communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills
Strong attention to detail paired with a high sense of accountability and ownership
Exposure to data quality, control environments, or process improvement initiatives (formal or informal)
Comfort operating in highly regulated, risk‑sensitive environments
Experience driving improvements without direct authority, through partnership and influence
Curiosity and passion for improving how business data is created, governed, and consumed
Prior team leadership or people management experience
