About this role
Role Overview
- Assist Originators with commercial real estate financial modeling and analysis
- Conduct preliminary screening of prospective financing opportunities
- Evaluate financing requests to determine credit quality of opportunities
- Maintain detailed financial models and develop sensitivity analyses
- Perform market, industry, and sponsor due diligence
- Gather information and diligence materials including appraisals and environmental reports
- Ensure loan documentation and credit files are timely updated
- Facilitate loan closings ensuring that legal documentation and internal processing requirements are met
- Assist with Portfolio Management on modifications and risk ratings as needed
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management and other departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of commercial real estate financial modeling experience with a bank, real estate development/operating company, real estate private equity firm, commercial real estate brokerage operations, or commercial finance company required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented
- Adaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Can work independently and within a team; solution-oriented with a collaborative approach
- Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects in parallel while still meeting deadlines
