Role Overview
Execute test planning activities per CQA methodology, including helping to define review scope, objectives, and required test steps with guidance from CQA Lead Analyst and/or Manager.
Develop test documents and compile accurate, complete, and well-organized workpapers that align with CQA methodology and documentation standards.
Perform compliance testing to assess control design and operational effectiveness and confirm adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Identify control deficiencies, process gaps, and regulatory risks through testing activities.
Communicate testing results verbally and in writing to the CQA Lead Analyst and/or Manager.
Escalate significant risks, emerging issues, or testing concerns per established protocols.
Collaborate with business line partners, Compliance, and Risk partners to validate issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions (when applicable).
Maintain awareness of regulatory expectations, emerging trends, and industry best practices related to assigned lines of business.
Ensure all assigned work is completed accurately within established timelines and in accordance with CQA policies and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically more than three years of applicable experience
Basic understanding of federal and state consumer protection laws and regulations
Foundational knowledge of U.S. Bank business line operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
Basic understanding of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret regulatory requirements, process flows, and control documentation
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly
Basic knowledge of project management and process facilitation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Professional certification such as CRCM preferred
