Role Overview
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies and procedures
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting legislation
- Participate in segment, global and/or industry discussions regarding compliance programs
- Assess the risk of compliance requirements and provide guidance
- Monitor the effectiveness of compliance-related procedures and controls
- Identify and report significant regulatory compliance issues
- Develop, update & deliver training materials/programs
- Consult as an active compliance partner
- Respond to compliance inquiries and provide solutions
- Provide assistance in responding to audits and investigations
Requirements
- 3–5 years of compliance experience within the financial services industry
- University degree; industry courses or professional certifications are an asset
- Strong knowledge of Insurance products, services, distribution channels, and operations
- Solid understanding of applicable laws, regulations, industry rules, guidelines, and compliance-related risks
- Demonstrated professional judgment, integrity, and adherence to high ethical standards
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
