About this role
Role Overview
Provide scientific information, present and promote the relevant AbbVie products to office-based specialists and hospital specialists in compliance with Section 76 of the German Medicines Act (AMG)
Implement the brand strategy
Conduct market analysis based on available data; analyze the regional market with regard to the sales development of our product and those of competitors; identify potentials and critical trends
Design, coordinate and implement a territory plan within the in-field team
Professional customer management, i.e., actively advise physicians, pharmacists and, where applicable, healthcare organizations
Plan, organize and conduct training/continuing education events and be present at regional and national events
Build and expand networks between hospitals, office-based physicians and other stakeholders who play an important role in patient care
Gather market information and customer insights; determine the customer's position in the sales cycle
Maintain proactive communication with the regional manager
Professional reporting: timely and proper completion of all administrative tasks
Collaborate effectively within the in-field team and beyond
Foster open communication and a continuous exchange of experience and ideas
Proactively and continuously advocate for customers' needs
Share responsibility for achieving regional targets
Comply with all applicable functional requirements and legal and regulatory obligations, including procedures and policies on ethics and compliance and the "Principles for Business Conduct (Code of Business Conduct)"
Requirements
University degree in a scientific discipline
Pharmaceutical sales representative training or required expertise according to §75 of the German Medicines Act (Arzneimittelgesetz)
Basic knowledge of GxP
Experience working in an in-field team and responsible interdisciplinary project leadership within a matrix organization
Solid knowledge of the therapeutic area
Several years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrably above-average sales success desirable, ideally within the therapeutic area
Ability to present complex scientific concepts tailored to the target audience and discuss them with different customer groups
Strong persuasive skills, with a presentation
and closing-oriented personality and excellent communication skills (Challenger methodology)
High ability to continuously adapt to changing market conditions and to innovate and proactively align one’s working methods accordingly
Strong motivation and energy to pursue and achieve goals
Excellent performance management to continuously optimize sales target achievement
Advanced digital competence and confident use of field force systems (Veeva CRM and CLM, XPM, WebEx, etc.) as well as MS Office
Strong analytical skills combined with creativity
Entrepreneurial spirit and a pronounced drive for success, including commitment to personal development within the company
Flexibility, commitment and team spirit
Very good German and good English language skills
