Senior Cloud Architect

Role Overview

• Hands on engineering capability in support of Paramount Technology’s goal of migrating workloads between public cloud providers
• Define strategy for migrating applications from various Linux versions (Amazon Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc) to a standard running on Oracle Linux
• Collaborate and define, document and educate on standards to be followed for the following: Foundational cloud architecture
• Automation framework, tools and taxonomy
• Continuous Integration / Deployment methodology
• Security Governance (In collaboration with Information Security)
• Partner with and advise Cloud Engineering organization on infrastructure architecture, cloud network design, infrastructure automation and security best practices
• Drive infrastructure strategy for security operations
• Collaborate with Paramount Skydance Information Security organization on Company security standards
• Lead team of Infrastructure Security engineers to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities in our environment
• Continually evaluate the startup market for innovative solutions in the areas of infrastructure automation, cloud security and observability
• Proficiency with Chef Automation Enterprise/OCI
• Manage the full lifecycle of the Chef Automation Enterprise platform, including version upgrades, agent updates, and ongoing maintenance
• Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks to automate configuration management across a managed server ecosystem
• Drive the certification process for new operating systems and software, ensuring compatibility and compliance standards are met

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 6+ years’ experience spanning at least 2 IT disciplines including technical architecture, network design, application development, middleware, database, OS or devops
• Deep knowledge of multiple cloud provider offerings Amazon Web Services/GCP/OCI/Azure
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript or Terraform or Golang
• Experience with large scale migrations of enterprise systems to public cloud
• Experience working with cross functional teams across multiple time zones and varying cultural backgrounds
• Experience designing, implementing and managing virtual private networks in public cloud ecosystems and connectivity to the physical layer
